Just some pics

There's honestly not been much to comment on. It's been rather dismal here. I have spent most of my time studying, reading or stressing over my future. This all not helped along in any way shape or form by the fact that I seem to be stuck in a perpetual Northwest weather system. I was sure I signed up to study abroad in Istanbul and not London. In fact I was sure I left the US and didn't somehow end up in Seattle, yet... here I am, and here the rain is. With about one month left to go I am cursing my bad luck and wishing for summer. I am all for having mild weather but this is getting to be a bit ridiculous. I was supposed to go to a small town just north of where I am today where there is an annual tulip festival taking place. Well... rain rain go away... my efforts t further immerse myself in the culture failed miserably. As miserable as the day was. I believe the difficency of vitamin D is beginning to wear on me as I am feeling quite drowsy and enclosed by four walls constantly. Proving that I either need sun.. or to live in a circular room. The second option not necessarily being so bad.

So I will post a few pictures from my travels and hope they are ammusing enough to hold everyone over until I can get to SIGHTSEEING again!!

Ah yes, you will notice that I have made sure to blow this picture up quite a bit. This is so that ou might drink in the full ignorance with which this individual is impregnated with. Yes, that does say "nigga" on the side of his car. This is what the Turks like to call an "Apache." No not the wonderful Native American Indian tribe with such rich culture and heritage, but rather more simply the Turkish version of a guido... yes... globalization is true... Jersey Shore's influence has reach Southeast Europe.

After church this Sunday on my way back home I decided to stop by and take a quick shot of this political rally. I am here at an interesting time. Elections take place the second week of June here so I will be getting to see many more situations like this and it will be fun to see the dissimilarities between campaigning in America and here.

Just a picture from my flight from London to Istanbul. I have many of these from many different flights I've taken over the years but somehow I cannot get over the beauty of a scene like this. It looks like an entire terrain. A snowy pristine terrain that one might be able to find on earth's surface with its mountains jutting up in the background... man that's cool.

My flight from Dallas to London :) Yeah kind of amazing... there were about 100 people total on this 777. Everyone on the flight had aisle seats. At one point in the trip I was able to put up the arm rests on both of the seats beside me and lay down across them for the best sleep I've ever had on a flight.

Anyway, that's all for now. Hopefully this weekend I will have some more pictures for you. Hopefully lots of TULIPS! - No Calvinists... not those.
